In the sculptural installation Wound Swap, the artist continues her exploration of the body through molds and encapsulations, this time in a more intuitive and abstract form. The installation unfolds across space: on the left, four plaster negatives of the artist’s leg lean into one another in a ray-like formation, balanced between floor and form. At the center, a deep-purple wax cast of outstretched arms is plunged into a plaster pedestal, caught in the act of impact. On the right, three pedestals hold fragmented leg molds—two affixed, one left empty. In this composition, the artist conjures a state of simultaneous being and non-being—a space where parts of the self exist, while others remain suspended, waiting to adhere to impossible standards.
